His poetry has been featured all over New England and has been published in places such as the anthology "The Poets of Maine", "I can count to 10" and "GOOD FAT."

Nicholas used to volunteer as a co-host for Port Veritas’s “Tuesday Night Spoken Word Venue and Open Mic” in Portland, Maine.

Torture Playlist

Nicholas started a musical experiment back in 2013 called “The Annual Torture Playlist Challenge” where he decided to once a year compiling a new playlist consisting of contributions from any and all willing individuals who would be asked to provide five songs under fifteen minutes in length, then ask a small community of volunteers (or victims) to join him in the act of committing to the forfeit of their musical freedom for the entire month of August each year in exchange for being forced to listen exclusively to the playlist made during that year in the order given on repeat to "really give the songs that most people would never listen too on their own a fighting chance for a place in their heart".

As a result, Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music is still playing in his worst nightmares.

Foam Sword Fighting

In August of 2016, Nicholas Founded a Foam Sword Fighting club on the South Portland SMCC Campus called “The Northern Horde” which was awarded a certificate for “Best Community Outreach” of all clubs by the College. Under his leadership, the club maintained a regular attendance of over 40 members each week to fight by the sea with swords and shields made of PVC pipe and pool noodles.
Now, The club runs strong under new leadership and improved technology. The swords have fiberglass cores and other little upgrades making them lighter, safer, and easier to repair.

Nicholas also facilitated Foam Sword Combat during the Annual Geek Culture Celebration PortConMaine between 2015 and 2022.

Vision

Nicholas hopes to one day make a living off being interesting or inspiring enough to provide the skills and confidence students need to unlock their creativity, examine, and pursue their passion.
